Former prize winner at the Royal Academy of Music, Samling Scholar and current Phoebe Benham Junior Fellow at the Royal College of Music, Jocelyn has toured around the UK, the Caribbean, France, Denmark and Cyprus. As keen musical collaborator, Jocelyn has partnered many outstanding musicians and will be performing with the prizewinning young violinist Sujin Park.

 

 

Originally from Pembrokeshire, pianist Jocelyn Freeman is developing a career notable in its integrity and versatility. Comfortable performing as song accompanist, soloist, recitalist and instrumental duo partner, she has been hailed as "One to Watch" by International Piano Magazine, and has recently released her debut CD Night and Novelties: A Piano Recital  for Kissan Records. Her engaging performances are characterised by colourful, intimate imagination and technical authority.

 

Sujin Park, born in Sydney, Australia, in 1989, began studying the violin at age 6. She attended the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2009, studying with Goetz Richter. In 2010 she was awarded a Scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music in London, where she currently studies with Itzhak Rashkovsky. Sujin was a finalist and prizewinner in the 2012 Royal Overseas League Competition, London and won 1st prize at the 19th Jeunesses International Violin Competition, Bucharest, 2012.

 

The pairing of two such bright and talented instrumentalists will undoubtedly make for a delightful evening of music.
